Noraseela Mohd Khalid won the women's 400mh at the 26th SEA Games in Palembang, Indonesia. She clocked a time of 57.41s to beat the 2007 champion Wassana Winatho of Thailand (58.97s) in silver medal position. Seela, whose best time is 56.02s (2006), and already won three editions of SEA Games with medal in Asian championships, previously had to "reduce" her workouts in September due to an injury. She then spent 1.5 month with her coach Hennie Krival at South Africa to prepare for SEA Games, since she was doing self-training for almost the entire season.
